I was born in Southwest Germany and have traveled extensively throughout Europe and the United States. I have been interested in, and learning, photography for over 20 years. I have been living in Iceland for the last 6 years and specializing in all aspects of photography in Iceland, including landscapes, architecture, portraits, nature (particularly birds), and travel.
I enjoy getting to know others, discovering the many hidden gems in Iceland and Greenland, spending time with my wife and children.
Since 2010, I have organized and held Photo workshop and Photo tour in Iceland & Greenland.
Since then I have had a pleasure photographing many fabulous places in differrent countries. However the most important part of my photographic journey is the possibility to work and life in Iceland. Most of the photos displayed on this website are available to purchase as prints. Please contact me for details.
My wife Marketa Kalvachova came to Iceland in 2006 from the Czech Republic. She is specialized in landscape panoramas and nature photography.
