Kenya Photography Portfolio
The Kenya Photography portfolio shows all the amazing sights, places and the rich and beautiful culture of Kenya which I experienced during my travels.
Kenya, located in East Africa, has a coastline on the Indian Ocean. It houses savannah, lakelands, the dramatic Great Rift Valley and mountain highlands. It’s a well-known home to wildlife like lions, elephants and rhinos. One of its most visited landmarks is the Amboseli National Park which offer views of Tanzania’s 5,895m Mt. Kilimanjaro.
I organized and led a Photo Workshop to Kenya in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Dean J.Tatooles also participated in this workshop.
Kenya is a multilingual country. The official languages are Swahili and English, but there is actually a total of 62 languages spoken in the country. Ethnicity wise, Kenya is not a homogeneous country. The majority of Kenyans belong to ‘Bantu’ tribes such as the Kikuyu, Luhya and Kamba.
Kenya allows its citizens freedom of religion. About half the population are Christians, while the rest are Muslim and there are small Hindu and Sikh minorities. Kenyans are group-orientated rather than individualistic as the extended family serves as the basis for their social structure.
